geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application Permissions and Privacy
geoPaste requests (at installation time) and requires use of the following application permissions for correct function and operation -
* ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION is used to access the GPS sensor
* ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE is used to check internet connection status
* CAMERA is used to take photos
* INTERNET is used to communicate with the geoPaste Cloud services
* RECORD_AUDIO is used to add audio annotation to drawings using the device microphone
* READ_PHONE_STATE is used to read the device IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number, the IMEI is used to identify PRIVATE published drawings
* VIBRATE is used in the Drawing and AR views for haptic feedback
* WAKE_LOCK is used by the Camera preview, Map Locator and AR views to keep the device screen on when using these views
When in use, the geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application Map Locator and AR screens will periodically access your devices internet connection to communicate with the geoPaste Cloud Services to retrieve drawing content based on your location as determined by the device GPS sensor. The geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application does not use Android Services to perform any long running background or recurring processes which access your internet network connection.
You may incur charges from your network provider for this internet usage.
The geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application protects your privacy by using secure SSL network connections for all communications with the geoPaste Cloud Services.
The geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application will send published drawing content as well as details about your current GPS location and your IMEI to the geoPaste Cloud services and retrieves geoPaste drawing content that is published nearby to your GPS location.
The geoPaste ADC2 Trial Version application does not require the creation of user accounts, or the use of email addresses, logins and passwords.
All PUBLIC published geoPaste drawings are published anonymously during the geoPaste ADC2 Trial period.
The specifying of email addresses in the Settings and in the Reporting an inappropriate/offensive drawing screens is optional.
The geoPaste application and geoPaste Cloud Services do not reveal personal details to any third party, except that which Goggle Inc and others may legally access as described in http://code.google.com/appengine/privacy.html and http://www.google.com/privacy.html and http://www.google.com/mobile/android/privacy.html
